The first design for the park was drawn up by the court gardener M. Göttler
in 1676. Dresden`s oldest and largest park boasts very good roller-blading paths, a boating lake,
the Zoo, the open air concert venue "Junge Garde", a palace and of course acres of parkland.
If you don't want to walk the whole length of it (2 km by 1 km), you can always go for a whistle-stop tour with the good old park train.
